If you're having trouble turning the key in your vehicle’s ignition, DO NOT FORCE IT. Using excessive pressure can break small wafers and other components inside the lock, which will require either rebuilding or replacing it. First, if your steering wheel won’t turn in either direction, your steering wheel has been locked with tension pulling it against the lock, and your key will not turn until the pressure has been relieved. Do this by pulling the steering wheel in the only direction - it will move and gently turn the key. If your key still does not turn in the ignition, then STOP - before further damage occurs. Most vehicle ignitions can be rebuilt inexpensively, after it has been removed, and comes with a full one-year warranty (but only with new keys). We can also come to your location, remove and replace the ignition, at your convenience for an additional fee.
